HOLINESS
God is holy (Leviticus 11:44a). Out of reverence for God (2 Corinthians 7:1), we pursue holiness by imitating Christ, set apart in the renewing of our minds (Rom. 12:2). In every aspect of our lives, we demonstrate His character (Heb. 12:14) and seek His face
(1 Chronicles 16:11).
LOVE
God is love and He first loved us (1 John 4:7-10). We love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37-40). Relying on the Holy Spirit, we fulfill the command to unconditionally love each other. Love is a sacrificial deliberate choice, and a conscious act. We are committed to demonstrating God’s love by encouraging growth in others and seeking their best interests (Philippians 2:4).
UNITY
God is unity demonstrated through the Godhead (John 14:9-17). We are unified within the body of Christ. We function as one by identifying and exercising our diverse, God-given gifts while pursuing the goal of glorifying God (Romans 12:4-18 & Ephesians 4:11-16) and by endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3).
COMMITMENT
God is committed to us. Our commitment to Christ is born out of God’s commitment to us, our love for Him, and a desire to see Christ glorified. We glorify Christ by wholeheartedly giving our will, time, resources, and talents to His service in all aspects of our lives (Jeremiah 29:11 & 2 Chronicles 19:9 & 1 Corinthians 10:31).
