07 Mar Setting Up Church Center on Your Computer
Welcome to our blog post on how to get set up on Church Center from your computer. Church Center is a powerful tool that allows you to stay connected with your church community and keep track of all the events and activities happening in one place. Whether you want to sign up for events, manage your volunteer schedules and requests, or find new friends in the digital directory, Church Center has got you covered.
However, we understand that not everyone wants to install another app on their phone or might not have access to a smartphone. This can make it challenging to stay in the loop about what’s happening at church or connect with other members of the congregation. That’s why we’ve put together these step-by-step instructions on how to get set up on Church Center from your computer at home.
In this blog post, we’ll walk you through the process of creating an account on Church Center, signing up for events, and accessing the digital directory, all from your computer. So, whether you’re a technophobe or simply prefer using your computer over your phone, we’ve got you covered. Let’s get started!
This will open the following screen.
Click on “Log In” located in the upper right hand corner of the screen above, which will then take you to the following screen.
Enter Phone number to send a code via text message OR Select “Use email address instead”
(Phone number/email address must match what the church has on file)
A code will be sent by either text or email. Once received, enter the 6-digit code in the space provided as shown below.
Verify that your name is appearing and select “Log in as [your name]”
After logging in, you’ll be taken to the home page of Church Center (shown below)
In the upper right hand corner you’ll notice a circle (in the example, there’s a picture of Carol). Click on that, and it will open the screen below.
Click on “My profile & settings”, which will open the following screen:
To upload/change your picture, click on the pencil icon overlaying the space for the picture.
You can then continue through the rest of the tabs to view/update the information that is relevant to you.
To add change information available in the directory, click on “My directory profile”
You should see all members of your household and available information that can be published to the directory. Select the information that you would like published. You may also add a family photo and individual photos for each member of your household.
Click on “Update profile” and/or “Publish to directory” depending on if you are adding for the 1st time or updating your information.
Once you’re finished updating your profile & settings, you can click on home to return to the main page.
There, you can explore the Directory, Calendar, Sign-ups, etc. by clicking on the appropriate item in the menu at the top.
